1. Nanomaterials and characterization of thin films

This team works in the framework of collaborations with colleagues in sciences of materials (University of Coimbra) and in physics materials (University of Sfax in Tunisia) (area in nanomaterials and nanotechnology). This team is taking a holistic approach to materials characterization that uses  combination of experimental techniques, theories and further computer modellings, to understand the mechanisms of behind the materials behaviors on the light of the possible correlations established between plastic deformations in correlation with physical properties. The team started to work together since 2018 on the thin films of semiconductor nitrides III-V used for optoelectronic devices, such as Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs).
